Food Bank’s Culinary Council of New York is the city’s major hunger-relief organization working to end hunger throughout the five boroughs.
The Culinary Council convenes more than 50 of the city’s top chefs, restaurateurs, authors and industry leaders with a shared commitment to end food poverty.
Through food rescue and distribution City Harvest helps fill empty plates with fresh and nutritious food.
Providing nutrition education, strengthen local food systems, and advocating for anti-hunger policies, City Harvest rescues more than 77 million pounds of food and delivers it to hundreds of food pantries and soup kitchens to help feed New Yorkers experiencing food insecurity.
